The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Ylissa Elemat Kendall reports that she and four other Marshallese are attending the 2015 Taiwan Study Camp for Future Leaders: Pacific Region. “The Study Camp offers a platform for exchanges between youth from the ROC (Taiwan) and key countries of the Pacific Region,” Kendall wrote in an email.
“The event highlights Taiwan history and culture, as well as the Taiwan experience, so as to promote nation’s cultural diplomacy and youth policy.”
Ylissa, who is a Foreign Service Officer with MOFA, is joined by MOFA’s Smaller Islands States Officer Joseph Tibon; Ministry of Public Works Inspector Hanedalynn C. Kabua; Nitijela Assistant Legislative Counsel Cutty W. Jacklick; and MIMRA Fisheries Information Officer Benedict Yamamura.
