If you’d personify the number of years Asmon Langidrik, Jr. spent as a teacher in the Ministry of Education, Asmon would’ve been a 13-year old teen.

The beloved special education teacher died last Wednesday, three hours after he reportedly left Majuro Middle School due to what his coworkers said was chest pain. He was 32.

“Not only was he a dedicated teacher, Asmon created a grading system designed for our students with special needs,” MMS Principal Winnie Benjamin told the Journal. “He will be dearly missed.”

Over 600 students and teachers from MMS, the Majuro Deaf Center and special education teachers throughout Majuro showed in mass to pay their respects at Asmon’s home in Uliga last Friday.
