A week-long Train the Trainer Seminar for service providers on human trafficking concluded at the ICC last Friday. The seminar provided hands on learning on how to tailor the outreach sessions to the needs and learning styles of the Marshall Islands.

Participants included representatives from the Office of the Chief Secretary, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kumit Bobrae, Marshall Islands Red Cross Society, WUTMI, Youth to Youth in Health, Salvation Army, WAM, IOM, KIO Club, and Micronesian Legal Services Corporation.

During the seminar’s closing ceremony, Minister-in-Assistance David Kabua (from the previous administration) congratulated the participants for completing the seminar and extended appreciation to instructor Romina St. Clara from the IOM office in the Philippines for teaching the course.

Minister Kabua thanked the government of the United States and the US Embassy in Majuro for the support and assistance provided to the RMI in addressing human trafficking.
