The long-awaited Constitution Day basketball dream team from Arkansas arrived in Majuro Tuesday morning. The group was serenaded with leis and hugs from the ladies from the Majuro Atoll Local Government’s Health, Education and Social Affairs Division. V7AB Radio deejay and voice of the islands William Ring broadcasted live as the team made their way into the terminal to be welcomed by a crowd of well-wishers, friends and relatives.

They were scheduled to play their first game with team Maloelap at the Staff Sergeant Sam Sports Facility at the College of Marshall Islands Wednesday night, game two after the men’s Lae and Majuro matchup.And like all Marshallese traveling to and from the Chickendale state, they brought a few ice chest coolers among their luggage. We wonder what’s in those plastic wrapped coolers.
