The partnership between Australia and Marshall Islands has been beneficial to government services. Last week, the Marshall Islands Sea Patrol received a friendly donation in the form of a flatbed truck from the Australian Defense Force to enhance daily operations.
Lt. Commander Lachlan Sommerville, who acts as the Maritime Security Advisor to RMI Sea Patrol, was on hand for the handover of the vehicle to RMI maritime officials.

Captain Dennis Jibas, Police Commissioner George Lanwi and local maritime officers joined Australia Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires Derek Taylor and Deputy Chief of Missions Caroline Reed in the brief ceremony at Uliga Dock.
