Christmas celebrations in the Marshall Islands saw various singing and biit (dance) performances come to life last week in the Christian churches.
Local chapters came decked with colorful uniforms and unique designs. Voices were blasted to the maximum with harmony and melodies.
As the biits went into motion, dancers were seen ecstatically leaping, gliding, bending, grooving, and shimmying. To top it off, spectators were not only entertained for free but also received goodies in the forms of chips, candies, and coins for free.
Each jepta donated money and gifts of food and other items to the churches in which they performed.
Season of giving indeed! One might wonder if the wallet is still loaded after the spending spree on these items.
