The US Coast Guard buoy tender Juniper made a several day visit to Majuro last week, following its visit to Kwajalein.
The vessel conducted tours with local elementary and middle school students and engaged with law enforcement officials in Majuro, including the Office of National Security.
One of the key reasons for the visit was the vessel’s installation of a new aids to navigation buoy at the Kalalin Pass, where all large vessels — from container ships to fishing vessels — come through.
