Laura Elementary School celebrated teacher day early this week. World Teachers’ Day was established in 1994 to commemorate the signing of the 1966 United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization/International Labor Organization recommendation concerning the status of teachers.
If the teachers at Laura Elementary were feeling under-appreciated before, the students really stepped up their game this year to erase any past “likjab” in the matter.
Cakes, dancing, laughter and appreciation were showered upon their teachers and school administrators, making for an enjoyable and lively day at LES.
