Students on Ebeye had a blast with a robotics event at the Jabro Gymnasium last week.

During the one-day activity, high school students were trained to build and program robots from scratch. To test their skills, students maneuvered their robots to transport blocks around a mini course in the gym.

Sarah Willis from MIT Lincoln Laboratory on Kwajalein assisted in the activity.

The program is part of an ongoing Habele-supported robotics program under a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiative throughout Micronesia.

The Habele program on Ebeye began in 2019.
