No better place to learn a new life skill than at Wilfred Kendall Park in Laura. Fifteen young men are currently attending an engine-training hosted by the National Training Council. This training is scheduled to last for three months.
The program is led by Randon Lakjeb who was trained as a trainer through a course at College of the Marshall Islands and is also well known at Laura for his mechanic skills.
The boys are currently learning about lawn mower engine maintenance and repair and will soon move up to working on boat engines.
