Many gathered this week at the Marshall Islands Resort Lomalo Room to witness the progress of the projects being supported by the “Inspiring Women’s Advancement Through Collective Action (IWA).”

International Office for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the US Embassy has been funding the project.

This project has been ongoing for the past 18 months. It is providing small grants to local NGOs to address gender discrimination and to local female entrepreneurs or businesses for economic empowerment.

The project has also completed other activities such as the RMI Women’s Forum, co-educational volleyball, Taekwando, female legend murals, and other activities for girls and women.
