College of Marshall Islands (CMI) student Scott Ijai was one of hundreds of students who participated in the CMI National Apprenticeship event last week at the CMI Staff Sergeant Solomon Sam Sports Center.

The event was staged like a job fair for college and high school students under coordination by CMI and the National Training Council (NTC).

Like many students in the three-day event, Scott browsed through the multiple booths featuring different employers. In his case, Scott landed his curiosity with the Green Energy Solutions which was manned by Eddie Reiher. Eddie had his set up that visually showed a solar powered rice cooker, mini fridge, fan and solar lights. The duo was joined by Delap Councilman Barry Jekkar, who happened to visit the event and said that he always supported climate friendly innovations, complimenting Green Energy Solutions.

In the event, free haircuts and personal care was provided by Mary Pablo and her Elegance Spa staff, which operates out of Marshall Islands Resort.

All participants in the event, including employers received free meals provided by the NTC.
