Sherwood and Emma Tibon, the owners of Bokanbotin Island Getaway, are happy that they now have more accommodation, with the opening of the second of three bungalows — which are perched over the lagoon — becoming available just before Christmas.
It takes just 10 minutes to reach Bokanbotin from downtown, Sherwood said Monday.
The getaway is featured on the accommodation site Airbnb. “We also advertise on Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In,” he said. And while these sites are helpful for bringing in global guests, between their accommodation and dining facilities, a healthy percentage of their clients are locals. “We do all types of events including workshops, retreats, meetings, and anniversaries.”
Then he mentioned that they are yet to have their first wedding on the island. Anyone planning on saying “I do” anytime soon?
