Three community judges took their oaths of office Wednesday with Presiding District Judge Tarry Paul at the Court House in Uliga.

Judges Swinton Jakeo from Kili-Bikini-Ejit, Kobobo Kios from Utrok and Liston Albious from Namu were joined by relatives and members of their local governments.

“It would be beneficial if the court consider bringing us outer islands judges to Majuro more often,” KBE Judge Jakeo said following the swear-in ceremony. “That way, we can engage in trainings,” he added. Jakeo spoke on behalf of the newly appointed judges.
