Vets hit Ebeye town

The Wilmer Bolkein Memorial Gym was turned into a veterinary clinic for nearly a week, as the Aloha Affordable Veterinary team provided great service to animals on Ebeye earlier this week. Photo: Domingo Michael.

The Aloha Affordable Veterinary team from Hawaii spent five days on Ebeye doing what it does best: Caring for animals. The team was there from late last week through Tuesday this week.

A total of 126 dogs and cats were spayed and 122 dogs neutered. Among the treated were three pets belonging to Iroojlaplap and Kwajalein Parliament Member Mike Kabua, who stopped by and greeted the team (top).

More services by this group, as well as another group from Australia, are scheduled for Majuro later this month.
