A historic development for Ebeye happened this month with the opening of Power 103.5FM. The development is both historic and comes on the 10th anniversary of the popular Majuro radio station.
“Our hope is that it brings them the joy of entertainment, provides as an essential communications service and it’s a way to tie the Marshall Islands two largest communities closer together,” said Daniel Kramer, the CEO of Six9Too Productions, the parent company of the radio stations.
Kramer told the Journal that the Majuro broadcast is live streamed through internet “and then rebroadcast on Ebeye over the air through another transmitter we installed there. It’s in real time but few seconds delay as it goes over the internet.”
The rollout of the station was also supported by UNICEF and the Early Childhood Development program that make use of the station to broadcast messages about their activities and programs.
