This week opened with a recognition ceremony for Majuro hospital doctors as part of the launch of National Health Month.
The ceremony featured most of the hospital’s doctors wearing white jackets and being praised by Health Secretary Francyne Wase-Jacklick and Medical Chief of Staff Dr. Robert Maddison.
Dr. Kyle Lemari led the doctors in re-stating their oath of medicine as they raised their right hands.
A significant part of the recognition of medical doctors was the honor bestowed on the late Dr. Masao Korean and Dr. Kennar Briand, medical doctors who made important, long-term contributions to healthcare in the RMI. Framed photos of the two doctors were unveiled as their family members stood by.
