The body of Kwajalein Atoll Local Government Police Officer II Shicko Luke received top honors by KALGov honor guards and US Army military police colleagues Wednesday afternoon following the arrival of Shicko Luke at the Bucholz Army Airfield on Kwajalein Atoll.

Shicko was one of the original front liners stationed at the Kwaj Lodge Quarantine Site back when the RMI had little knowledge of the Covid pandemic.

Shicko was one of six officers trained by active duty officers from the US Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll Provost Marshals Office when RMI began its repatriation program.
Family members said Shicko passed away at Majuro hospital following complications from kidney failure on 25 January.

Burial arrangements on Ebeye are still in the planning stages with the family.
