A community event at Laura Saturday brought attention to the call for climate action to limit rising global temperatures to 1.5 degrees Celcius. The event raised attention to the climate issue on the eve of the November 22 virtual climate summit being hosted from Majuro by President Hilda Heine. At Laura Saturday, children gathered with the “Thrive, Survive, 1.5” banner. The event was organized by Jeirok Councilman Jina David and visiting Greenpeace International members.
