Majuro students aim for Xavier

Assumption’s Olivia Cabarrubias was one of 51 focused students who turned out last Saturday to take the annual Xavier High School entrance test at Assumption. Xavier was not able to accept last year’s off-island students due to the Covid border closure in the FSM, but interest in the Jesuit-run school remains high among local students. Fifty-one students from different schools around Majuro took the Xavier High School entrance test last Saturday at Assumption campus. Assumption School, Marshall Islands Friends of Xavier (MIFOX) and the Xavier High School students combined to make the test a success.

The Xavier High School entrance test administers said they greatly appreciated the donor support that made the test free for all students as well as providing snacks and refreshments that fueled the students so they could continue on with the extended test. Xavier High School and its staff hope the FSM borders are open before next school year so students can return to the school campus.
