Miss Pacific Islands Moemoana Schwenke and her small entourage were serenaded with a night of entertainment filled with hugs and plates full of food on her last day in the Marshall Islands with a farewell in her honor at the Marshall Islands Resort last Friday.

Miss Pacific said she was filled with immense love from meeting the many people in her weeklong trip that began on Wotje Atoll and continued throughout Majuro.

She had met with businesses, cultural sites, tourist attractions and a day with children where she shared the Samoan Siva culture.

Moemoana was as excited as her many fans and partygoers who shared a photo session with her and Miss Marshall Islands Claret Chong Gum.

Moemoana also dedicated the success of her trip to a close knit group of individuals from the Office of Commerce, Investment and Tourism, namely Lori Muller deBrum, Eskella Joseph, Kimber Rilometo and photojournalist Chewy Lin.

Moemoana was crowned Miss Samoa in 2023 before winning her place as Miss Pacific in 2024.

Fun fact: Moemoana Schwenke’s mother Maryjane McKibbin Schwenke was crowned Miss Pacific in 1997 and is a known instructor of Samoan Siva dance.
