Health Minister Bruce Bilimon, doctors and nurses gathered in the doctors’ lounge of Majuro hospital to witness the swearing in of Dr. Hendy Enos as a general physician. At the ceremony last Friday, Enos received his physician license to practice medicine in the Marshall Islands.

After four years attending medical school in Taiwan and a two-year internship training in Majuro hospital, his hard work, his dedication brought him to this point. “I’m really happy, really excited, I’ll treasure this moment for the rest of my life and I would like to thank all my mentors, my family, our ministry and Taiwan Health Center for all support,” said the RMI’s newest certified doctor.

Dr. Enos becomes the eighth licensed doctor trained through the medical internship training program provided by Ministry of Health and Human Services and Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital.

There are six more medical interns and students under training in both Majuro and Taiwan.
