A big drug-free gathering brought schools from Laura to downtown together for an afternoon walkathon from Public School System headquarters to Delap Park Monday.

The students yelled out, “say no to drugs, don’t start” through the walk to raise awareness on usage of drugs here in the Marshall Islands. Councilman Jina David on behalf the Majuro Local Atoll Government said that drugs don’t belong in the Marshall Islands and that 20 drug dealers have been caught by law enforcement authorities in efforts to halt the local drug trade. The activities were sponsored by the RMI Single State Agency in partnership with various other organizations and businesses.
