A well-attended event celebrating completion and opening of the new MIPD Sea Patrol headquarters in Delap happened Saturday afternoon.
Japan Ambassador Hirohisa Soma was on hand to cut the ribbon with MIPD Commissioner Hemona Jack, as well as hand over the ceremonial key to Justice Minister Wisely Zackras.
Lively music from the AIM Band lent the event with a good vibe.
And finally, no Japanese ceremony of note would be complete without the breaking open of the sake casket. This was done with mallets wielded by seven VIPs, including President Hilda Heine who was there for the ceremony.
