Taiwan’s 111th celebrated

Watch out Marshall Islands, the Republic of China/Taiwan’s government will be sending 60 tons of rice in December. The development was announced by Taiwan Ambassador Steve Hsia in his remarks during Taiwan’s 111th anniversary dinner at the Marshall Islands Resort Tuesday.

The night event featured uplifting entertainment, great food and a unique display of locally grown food from the Taiwan Technical Mission in Laura.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kitlang Kabua reiterated the unique bilateral relations between RMI and Taiwan, while pledging continued support for Taiwan.

Ambassador Hsia and Minister Kitlang toasted with the guests, which included the Taiwanese community, President David Kabua, Speaker Kenneth Kedi, Chief Justice Carl Ingram, Cabinet and Parliament members, Majuro Mayor Ladie Jack, ministry heads, Taiwan Coast Guard, Shuang Ho Hospital medical staff and student performers.
