In fewer than 10 days, the airport terminal parking lot will be closed until further notice.
The RMI Ports Authority made the announcement this week in a post of social media. The closure goes into effect on March 15.
“The reason for the parking lot closer is to allow for the commencement of construction activities for the New Interim/Domestic Airport Terminal Building to be located at the main terminal public parking lot,” Ports Authority said.
The announcement followed a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Interim/Domestic Airport Terminal Project at Amata Kabua International Airport held earlier this week.
President Hilda Heine joined in the event to kick off the project, which Pacific International Inc. is handling.
