Anglers have a blast

The 42nd annual Fisherman’s Day Marshalls Billfish Club tournament saw plenty of fish caught during the two days of fishing.

Seven qualifying marlin were caught, including the winner by Captain Ronnie Reimers on Kirtake at 307 pounds.

A total of 17 qualifying wahoo and tuna were caught, including the wahoo winner of 44 pounds by Captain Baron Bigler on Li-Manbwine, and the winning tuna, a 75-pound dogtooth, by Larry Hernandez, III, on Hangloose.

Larry also won both the year-long President’s Cup competition, his first time to win the trophy, as well as the Atjang Paul Memorial Trophy for good sportsmanship.
