The Japan Embassy in Majuro arranged for baseball coach Ryusei Yomoda of the Baseball Federation of Japan to provide training to elementary and middle school age children, local coaches and umpires beginning last Tuesday for a week. The clinics, held at the Jenrok baseball field, were enthusiastically attended by dozens of local children. Public School System Associate Commissioner Pranson Eliou, who heads the Sports and Extracurricular Program, and SEP staff have been working with the visiting coach to deliver the program.
