What transpired on Christmas Eve at Western Union at Robert Reimers Enterprises shared a striking similarity to the game of Bingo — scores of people sitting everywhere: on chairs, on benches bordering the parking lot, and more on the ground. Then once in a while, a name was called followed by a brief silence as customers digested the new information, and then conversation continued.

“It’s similar to bingo, only everyone is in a waiting phase,” an elderly gentleman who spent the entire day waiting on his name to be called told the Journal.
A few meters northeast in the same compound sits Bank of Marshall Islands’ Moneygram division. In there was a similar long line of people waiting to send and receive money.
