Ajeltake Community Development Association led by Councilman Boaz Lamdrik received funding from the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives matched by Majuro Atoll Local Government as well as 50 wheelbarrows from MALGov.

The funds received from Canada Fund for Local Initiatives will be used to empower women for a cleaner shoreline. This will support cleaning up beaches and also planting trees that to reduce erosion along the coastline.

Lamdrik in his remarks thanked traditional leaders, Mayor Ladie Jack and everyone who had a hand in helping secure the funding.

Mayor Ladie in his remarks said that Majuro Day next year would be held in Laura but it will focus on clean ups and there will be prizes.
