‘Biit’ rocks local Churches

The day after Christmas at Laura Protestant, the Lobat jepta got the crowd fired up with its rock and roll sounds and dancing. Photo: Giff Johnson.

Churches were the place to be Christmas Day as they came alive with amplified keyboard tunes and energetic biit dancing to celebrate Christmas…with some of the Christmas celebration spilling over into Saturday.
Each year, the audiences remember one or more special jepta performances, outstanding in some way. Each year, the Marshalls Christian High School jepta from Rongrong Island is a must-see performance for its fabulous dances, singing and gospel skits that accompany its performances.
The Lobat, Laura jepta was another crowd pleaser, offering up numerous dances, including a rock ’n roll number that had dancers going every which way and audience members pulling the younger dancers out of their line in a show of appreciation at Laura Protestant Church.
