New RMI Ambassador John Silk was sworn into office last week Thursday.

Chief Justice Carl Ingram and Clerk of Courts Ingrid Kabua performed the ceremony while Silk’s wife Mary held the Bible.

There was a big turnout of VIPs, including President Hilda Heine, family and friends at the Nitijela Conference Room.

Silk is scheduled to depart Majuro this Friday and expects to take up his post as the RMI’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York City later this month.
