As the US-Israel led war against Iran continues to play out, fuel prices in Majuro keep going up and up.
The latest increase was seen Monday at the PII fuel station. It still remains the lowest-priced fuel on island, but since the beginning of March, PII’s diesel price has skyrocketed by $1.75 per gallon.
Similarly, the price of gas is up $1.10 per gallon.
The new prices showing Monday at PII are $7.70 for gas and $7 for diesel.
Mobil-supplied fuel stations have been at $8.20 per gallon for gas and $9.75 or $9.85 a gallon for diesel.
Expect diesel to rise above $10 per gallon mark at the Mobil stations, while gas will edge closer to $9 per gallon.
At the Mobil stations, diesel price increases have been astounding at about an additional $3 per gallon. Gas prices have leaped about $1.50 per gallon.
For comparison purposes, the average gas price at the pump in the United States as of last Saturday was just over $4 per gallon, while diesel was up to over $5.50 a gallon.
