Marshall Christian High School is dominating the high school Constitution Day basketball tournament this year following two great victories against Marshall Island High School last Friday in Rongrong and against undefeated high school-champ Majuro Cooperative High School Monday night at the SSG Solomon Sam Sports Center in Uliga.

MCHS defeated MIHS Friday in what is considered a historic game since the competition marked the first time a Constitution Day event took place on Rongrong Island, a 40-minute boat ride from the Laura area of Majuro.

MCHS maintained a large lead over MIHS throughout last Friday’s game, ending the bout at 68-62.

Then on Monday this week, MCHS unseated Coop in the most physical game in the high school division thus far while maintaining a 10-point gap in the game and ending the game at 74-64 — another historic milestone since no high school team has defeated the Coop boys in the past two years.

The Rongrong boys are scheduled to go head to head with visiting team Jaluit High School later this week to conclude the Constitution Day high school basketball competition.
