The Miss Marshall Islands Pageant is well underway.
Since the weekend, the 13 youthful contestants engaged in a “sashing” ceremony, delivered their platform speeches and engaged in question and answer sessions, and were recognized by multiple organizations at a Marshall Islands Resort Melele Room program.
The pageant will feature a parade through Majuro Thursday that leads to a talent show for the contestants. Saturday July 11 will feature the coronation ceremony.
