An Asian woman was brutally murdered Tuesday in Majuro at her business-home just a stone’s throw away from the National Police Station in Uliga. Her body was found Tuesday night by friends who called police.

Majuro hospital emergency ward declared 44-year old Chinmei Wang as dead on arrival at 11pm Tuesday night. Wang reportedly had her throat slashed and a stab wound at the back of her head.

Wang and her husband, who was in Kiribati when the murder took place, own and operate the iLink cellphone, TV, computer and gadget store in Uliga. The store is at the same location where the victim lived.

The Criminal Investigation Unit couldn’t comment on the matter because they were hot on the case and were looking at every lead.
