Republic of China (Taiwan) and Majuro Atoll Local Government officials launched the Enja Enos Memorial Gymnasium at Rongrong Island in Majuro last Saturday.
The covered gymnasium is the first gym of this type to be built in a neighboring island outside of Majuro and Kwajalein.
MALGov Mayor Ladie Jack and Taiwan Ambassador to Marshall Islands Steve Hsia presided over the event.
The event also featured celebration of water catchments funded by Taiwan. And to spice things up, the event was streamed live by National Telecommunications Authority — another first for Rongrong Island.
