The Miss Christa 5th Memorial Double Up fishing derby last Saturday included the carry over from the recent Catch-5 derby.

The event, run by Marshalls Billfish Club, featured many fishermen but no one won the Catch-5, which has now been rolled over to the July two-day fishing tournament. A bottom fishing tournament run by Majuro Urok Club was also held to mark the anniversary.

Captain Ronnie Reimers and Team Kirtaki won the double up category and the jackpot for catching the biggest marlin, a 106 pounder, but the team fell short by one — a tuna — for winning the Catch-5.

Captain Danny Paul and Team Lotojo reeled in the biggest wahoo at 30 lbs, Robin Milne’s Team Iju Ran caught the biggest barracuda, also 30 lbs, and Team Jetang captained by Kenneth Kramer hauled in the biggest mahimahi at 17 lbs. Team Nita captained by Randy Jack caught a 35 lbs Giant Trevally.
