The start of the week brought good news to public school students in Majuro with the return of the hot lunch program following temporary halt since the beginning of the new fiscal year October 1.

Public School System confirmed the lunch program has resumed in Majuro beginning on Monday.

Even with the lunch program operational, PSS continues to work with its vendors in Majuro to remedy unresolved issues that have been pending from the previous years. This prompted PSS to hold a meeting with its vendors during the week.

According to PSS, lunch for students on Ebeye resumed a week earlier than Majuro. Outer islands public schools and high school boarding schools were not affected in the temporary lunch halt.
