
Ten teams took part in the twenty-second Lazarus Andrike memorial tournament, which was combined with the Total Pounds Sailfish Marshalls Billfish Club carry-over fishing tournament and the Total Qualifying Pounds competition.
Captain Kyle Aliven and Team Nali grabbed the spotlight on the dock for winning the TQ tourney with 191 pounds of potential sashimi and the Lazarus Memorial Biggest Qualifying yellowfin with a 59-pound tuna that carried the correct color.
According to a release from the club, other notable catches were:
- Team Jinekjej, captain Bevan Wakefield, caught a 311-pound Pacific blue marlin.
- Team Kirtake, captain Ronnie Reimers, brought home a 47-pound wahoo.
- Team Jambo, Captain Orlando Paul, caught a 52-pound yellowfin and weighed in a total of 142 pounds of fishy flesh.
“No sailfish were caught, therefore the MBC’s biggest qualifying sailfish will be again carried over to the 44th annual tournament in July.”
The Annual 2026 Fishing Tournament will be held on July 3-4.
The top contenders in the President’s Cup are: Damien Milne 1,875, Larry Heranandez III 1,859, Danny Paul 1,250, Ronnie Reimers 1,099 and John Aister 900.
