Eleven representatives from law enforcement-related government agencies completed a specialized security training led by the US Air Force 36th Tactical Advisory Squadron at the Sea Patrol Headquarters in Delap last week.

The two-day training covered basic drug-testing techniques to strengthen national efforts against illegal drugs. Participating agencies included the Marshall Islands Police Department, Majuro Atoll Local Government, Ports Authority, Immigration, Customs, and Sea Patrol.

During the certification ceremony prior to the unit’s return to Guam, National Security Office Director Chris deBrum expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and highlighted the strong, ongoing security cooperation between the United States and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
