The United World College National Committee of the Marshall Islands has been offering scholarships to Marshallese high school students to attend UWC international schools around the world since 2012.
They got together for their annual “selection day” program at the College of the Marshall Islands conference room last week with six students from four high schools on Majuro who were evaluated for one scholarship on offer this year to UWC South East Asia in Singapore.
To date 21 Marshallese have attended nine of the 18 UWC schools around the world, with 17 completing and four ongoing now.
