Judge Witten Philippo is back at the High Court, following his Monday morning oath-taking at the direction of Chief Justice Carl Ingram. Witnessing the event were President Hilda Heine, Philippo’s wife Florine, other judges, members of the diplomatic corps, court staff and Philippo’s family and friends.

Ingram took the opportunity of the swearing in ceremony to express his appreciation to outgoing Associate Justice Colin Winchester, who completed his two-year term this week and departs Friday. Ingram said Judge Winchester demonstrated diligence and exemplified integrity.

Philippo is not a newcomer to the judiciary, having been an associate justice in the mid-1980s to early 1990s. Philippo represented Majuro in Nitijela from 1997 to 2008.
