Captains Tom, Ronnie win MBC

Captain Tom Jack, fishing on Mon Ujoj, caught the biggest marlin of the 39th annual Marshalls Billfish Club tournament last weekend, a sizable 308 pounder.
Quite a few other marlin were caught, but they were all relatively small.
Captain Ronnie Reimers fishing on Kirtake won the total pounds title with 485 pounds for his four marlin, the largest of which was 135 pounds.

In the tuna category, Captain Kenneth Kramer and team Jambo caught a 105 pounder, followed by Captain Sherwood Tibon on Tatippen who caught 62 and 58 pound tuna for second and third place.

Wahoo proved to be a close one with Captain Sweetland Note on Wodjabto catching a 42 pounder ahead of Kwajalein Mayor Captain Hirata Kabua on Li-Mejwa who caught a 41 pound wahoo. Captain Rudy Aliven on Dragon caught a 37 pound wahoo.

In the barracuda category, Captain Ben Reimers on XXXX reeled in the biggest one at 44 pounds. Captain Bwiji Aliven on Angeline caught a 20 pounder, and Captan Matan Mook on Brits To picked up a 17 pounder.

The President’s Cup, Atjang Trophy and other awards will be handed out at the MBC banquet this Saturday at Jitak.
