Majuro Day paddling races organized by Majol Canoe Paddling Club generated intense competition and strong fan interest from shore last Saturday. A series of 250 and 500 meter sprint paddling races were held in three categories: women, men and mixed teams. The paddlers represented different wards in Majuro in line with Majuro Day.

A soft opening for Majuro Day festivities kicked off last Friday at Majuro City Hall. The event invited athletes who will be competing in softball, basketball, volleyball, tug of war and related sports. The official day is February 15.
